True, but the LSX is superior to the LS7 and less then half the price of the Dart and Warhawk. I think it weighs about 80 lbs more than the stock LS2 block. It also allows you to use cylinder heads with 6 bolts per cylinder instead of 4 bolts. Great for high boost/high power.

At Callaway, we have GM Motorsport aluminum cylinder blocks available, in stock.
Also known as C5-R or C6-R blocks. Originally designed by GM for racing; we use them to build very robust 427 cid street engines in lieu of sleeving.
They have 4.125 in. bore, designed for wet sump oiling, increased main bearing web strength, etc.
