I have an 05 steering column that has a flat white "ribbon cable" similar to something you would find inside a desktop computer harddrive that is about a foot or so long that goes into some sort of black module. This column is out of the car. I bought it this way and I have other 05 columns that do not have this setup and I was wondering what it was. Any help or info is appreciated. Thanks.
Anybody got any ideas? Also, I have another 05 column and 2 more 07 columns and none of them have this on them. All columns are telescopic as well. Anyone?
Don't think it's cruise control because none of the other columns have that kind of setup. Like I said, I have another identical column plus 2 07 columns and none of them have this setup on them.

Ok. If that's what it is, how long did they make the 4 spoke steering wheel? Like I said, I have another 4 spoke steering column that does not have this module.

The 4 spoke was 05 only. I think only the manual trannys had the column lock. My service manual shows the column lock as being export only. My 05 is an auto and it doesn't have it.
