Does anyone know how accurate the TPS are,,I have what I think is a pretty good tire gauge but I sometimes get up to a 2lb difference between the sensor and the gauge. 08 C-6 thanks
I've seen a 1~2 pound difference on the gauge I use. No big deal to me, but I'm just a former Philly guy stuck out in the boondocks. I know yous can be pretty uptight

I use an analog gauge which I set pressures with. The TPS reads about 1-2 psi less. Could be that my gauge needs calibrating, but I suspect that the TPS is less accurate.

I have an analog and a digital that talks to me and they always read a 2 psi difference too.
They don't seem to account for altitude. Other than that they seem to be correct.
what exactly are you saying? The mass of air in the tire dos not change as you change elevation, neither does the volume of the tire, so the pressure remains the same, the only thing remaining that can change the pressure is temperature change, which likely goes up due to the heat of rolling resistance, the altitude change just does not figure into it directly unless there is a large temperature change accompaning the altitude change
