I'm fairly new to the forums here so I'll give a quick intro. Just traded my bolt-on Trailblazer SS on a 2005 MN6 Z51 Black/Black loaded w/Nav about 3 weeks ago. It has 30,000 kms on it. I have driven it once (to get it home) and it has been garaged since. I will be making a trip down to Tick Performance / PCMforess in North Carolina in the June to have my first round of modding/ tune done. I would like to start ordering the parts and having them shipped to their shop.
I won't be doing H/C this trip but here is what I have lined up (nothing ordered yet):
VaraRam with TB spacer
Ported polished TB
SLP 160 stat
SpinFAST Intake Manifold ( heard nothing but good things and really can't wait for this item more than the others)
LG Pro's with catted x-pipe (2.5")
Borla Stingers
Will this alone break my dive train?
I would really like to do a big cam , Trickflow heads and UDP, but I figured it would be best to do clutch, new rear end 3.90's and output shafts first.
Would my stock trany and rear end hold up with H/C and full boltons?
I know the 05 rear ends are notoriously crap, and I do plan on hot lapping the car and maybe some drag.
Also what can I expect at the wheels with the first stage of my build up?I would like to see 490/440 eventually with H/C
That sounds like a good start! Breaking your drivetrain will depend on how hard you are launching and what tires you are using. Super high RPM dump and slicks could spell disaster, even in stock form.
