I know the car came with some suspention pack. The dealer said the brakes squeaking is normal. I have noticed when in the car is in 1st and you turn the wheel with it sitting still the car will shake and make a noise is this normal? Im telling my self it the suspention but idk? it only does it sitting at a compete stop and turing the wheel.
Only on early '05 Z51 models? Mine is a '07 and squeals like nobody's business when applying light pressure. Don't all Z51 brakes squeal? Only option is to go ceramic, correct?
I've heard of some people being able to rebed them by doing several hard stops in a row from say 60 MPH, but I haven't tried this. Has anyone else attempted this quick fix?

no! I have never had brake noise on my base or Z51 brakes

The OP is not describing a brake problem, but a power steering problem. At low idle and the wide tires on certain road surfaces (grooved concrete can aggravate the problem, asphalt less so). However, it is more likely underserviced power steering. My first step would be to remove as much of the power steering fluid as possible (using a baste or suction pump) from the reservoir and replace with the correct GM power steering fluid for the Corvette. Check your owner’s manual for the fluid type (GM part #), I had the local GM parts department try to sell me the wrong stuff once.
You may have to repeat this procedure a couple of times for a good flush. You can also have your dealer flush you power steering system, but they will probably charge you $120. You can do it yourself for under $20.
If that does not fix you problem, it may need to go in for service.

Squeeling means they're working GREAT... you have plenty of stopping power... The Z51 package is the sport suspension package. I have an 05 and they don't squeel all the time but as soon as you put any kind of serious pressure it goes away. It's not that big of a deal. You can get other brakes to put on that will reduce dust but I like the stock as they stop great and that's what I'm most concerned about, I'll deal with the extra dust.
