Did you just buy it recently? Are you sure that is the original fob?
The reason I ask is, just because it has a "1" on it doesn't mean it is the first fob on the list in the car. My wifes car had 3 fobs with it when we bought it, two number "1"s and a number "2". The extra number "1" was actually the third fob and didn't allow options.
