Love my Kirkey Roadrace Deluxe, but wouldn't call it cheap by any means...

sparco street fighter seem good, also the evo or the evo xl seem to be popular choices 550- to 800 dollars to get a cheaper seat you could use a tube frame seat in stead of a shell and they are in the 300 dollar range, most race supply shop carry them.

I really liked my Corbeau A4. Used them first in my 01 Z06 and now have them in my 86 Vette.

Ok, I got tons of questions for you

What made you decide on the Deluxe vs the base model? And are you happy with that decision, or wish you had gotten the cheaper one?

What width is your seat? What brackets did you use? How easy was the fit?

Thx

Deluxe version has more support and has provisions for mounting already on it.

Very happy with my decision.

The seat is EXTREMELY comfortable (even in around the town driving). Mind you, it's a pain-in-the-butt to get in and out of though.

I have two of the 16" versions. I'm ~6'1"/6'2", 32-33" waist, 185-190lbs and it fits me really nicely. I should have got a 17" for the passenger side though. I don't think anything over a 17" would fit well in a C5/C6 though.

Thank you for your response.

Could you please expand on the mounting? Did you buy sliders? Brackets from Hardbar or Pfadt? Did you somehow bolt the seat to your factory sliders?

I'm a bit confused on this whole topic.

Thanks

You can see at the base of the seat there is no holes or provisions for mounting. You'd have to drill your own holes and what not.

You can see at the base of the seat on the sides the holes ready for mounting.

I used Gary's hardbar rails, and everything bolted together great and went right in. It is not mounted to sliders and cannot be moved once mounted, BUT you have tons of adjustment, just have to try it till you get it where you want it, then tighten it all down...
