I've recently purchased an 05 Vette and I've started to notice lately that the outside doors don't open on the first try or only partially open. I've changed out the FOB battery just to make sure this wasn't the issue, but it didn't help. The interior door buttons work fine, it's only the exterior ones. Has any one else had this issue? If so, what did you do to fix it? Thanks in advance for the help.
Mine was doing that and I thought it was just me. Well the problem progressed and the door started to sag. The dealer installed new hinges and the sagging and opening problem are both fixed.
Is this on both doors or just one? If just one, then it probably just the touch pad. Switch the passenger pad with the driver's and see if the problem switches to the other door. If it does, then replace the pad. It's about $12.

You can purchase the Exterior Door Handle Switch
from Gene Culley (GMPartsHouse.com) at the following link:

It's both sides in cold weather, but only the passenger side has issues in warm weather. I've been away from my house in South Florida, so I have to leave it parked outside, not in a garage. The cold weather seems to effect both of them more. Today it's warm, so the drivers side is working great again. Do you think it's worth trying to change the pad switch out to see if that's the problem, since it's only $12.00? Thanks in advance for the help.
