I've got a question. I just installed a FAST 92. I am pretty sure everything was done correctly. I did the Spin mod to the back of the intake to fit. During the test drive a got a Check Gas Cap light on the DIC. It idles good and runs good. Cap didn't feel loose. Coincidence? Or a problem with the install? Feels strong and pulls hard.
I believe you have a problem. Do you have a code reader and are you getting a code? If no code reader, you can disconnect the battery to reset the computer. However, I would guess you have a air/vacuum leak and I would start trouble shooting by inspecting your work.
After my FAST install and test drive it threw a code/check engine light. The code listed the gas cap as a posible cause. I rechecked my work and sure enough I forgot the short vacuum line in the front near the MAP sensor. I then reset the computer by disconnecting the battery and it has worked fine for about a year now. And you said the DIC actually displayed the gas cap info.
My MAP sensor was a little loose. I sealed it up. I am re-installing the manifold this morning and I'm going to watch everything like a hawk. Thanks for all of the input.
Map will cause codes but its probably the hard plastic line if you get gas cap message. Check that. Its not between the intake and block, just check the lil stuff.
So where the MAP goes into the intake can't be it? I completely removed the black plastic line that runs along the intake. I don't see any cracks. It was hooked up . Could I just run some 3/8" rubber hose in it's place to see if that remedys my situation?
Well i swapped out the hard lines for some soft side hose I had lying around in my garage. Reset the computer again and problem is gone. So far anyway. Crossing my fingers.

Huh, well I know there's issues with the MAP sensor fitment but I hope that fixes yours.
