Default advice needed

Hii every body……

I need your advice regarding this problem ?
My story started after headers instillation ,I found problem when I use pedal shift transmutation form 1st gear to 2nd and on the dash board it showing (X) and with out shifting , I contact my tuner regarding this problem and he told me ….(no need re-tuning the car after headers , because its or ready tuned before when I installed your Varram air intake .

My question ? do you think I need to re-tuning the car after headers instillation

Car modes information
C6 2008 LS3 auto
1-Varram air intake
2-HP tuner
3-kooks long headers

Thanks >>>>

I'm not sure about your problem, but if your tuner told you, you didn't need a tune after getting headers, find another tuner.

I know nothing about the "X" on the HUD but I can tell you that you DEFINITELY need a retune after the headers. There's 10-15 RWHP waiting to be picked up!

As everyone else has said you do need a tune after a header install. and the X on the HUD as someone else mentioned is only supposed to come up when you try to shift up and not going fast enough for the next gear or when you try to down shift and you are going too fast for the next lower gear. But from a stop you should be able to shift up to 3rd gear and take off but will get the X when you try to shift into 4th when you are stopped. I really could not tell you why a header install would of changed when and how the transmission shifts unless the shop screwed something up. If you just let the tranmission shift on its own in S or D will it shift fine?
