Default Fuel gauge problems

Are there any common problems with 2007 C6 fuel gauge reading inaccurately? I assume it's a fuel sender in the tank. My brother-in-law has an 07 Lingenfelter supercharged coupe and has been having problems with his gauge lately. He has tried a few bottles of Techron in the tank, but with no resolve. He lives in MI, so I can't just shoot right over and fix it for him.I have had no problems with my 07 coupe.

And is there any access to the sender from inside the vehicle, or does the tank need to be removed from the car?

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah I'm getting nothing on my gauge. It sweeps like normal on startup, then goes to empty. Code reader says someting about "transfer" from the right side tank. Car runs fine. Help!

You can access the passenger side tank from the right rear wheel well. Driver side has to come out.

Still having problems? Was there no reading on the passenger fuel level?

Check to see if DTCs P2066 and P2636 are present. If so, for 2007 and 2008 Corvettes, there is a revise ECM calibration to correct this issue or there could be an intermittent jet transfer or an intermittent stuck float arm issue.

So does this revision mean I need to take it to the dealership and have them fix it? Mine is an 07 convertible with 9k miles.

If you want the vehicle repaired under warranty, yes.

I wonder if I will have any issues being that I'm the second owner. Will the warranty transfer?
