What is the smell, can you relate it to something.. like, does it smell like plastic? Like outside air? The smell of "the day after it rains"? Does it smell like mildew? Like oil?
I have the same problem in my 05/c6 and i tried changing the cabin air filter but had no luck with getting rid of the smell, it's hard to explain the smell, its not plastic or mildew just a foul odor. i'll keeping checking this thread in the hope someone can help!

Yeah...what Bus said...just a foul odor. My GM dealer said that the a/c system might have to be serviced. What the Hell its only got 10k on it.. And as far as the farts, Dont know about yours but mine are totally reconizable!!!!LOL
Residual dampness can promote mold/mildew growth. If it’s a musty smell, turn off the AC five minutes or so before you shut the engine off, and run the ventilation to dry out the system. If that doesn’t do it some cleaning may be necessary.

I used the Tech 2 to activate the HVAC after blow module. This helps to dry off the evaporator after AC usage.
Me too, this is the way to go. And it works better than turning the car air off 5 minutes before you arrive at your destination. I tried that and it is not comfortable and does not work as well.

It can happen on any car with AC. Some AC evaporators have a coating on them to help prevent mold. The downside is that these coated evaporators have la lower heat transfer rate.
You know what guys....Why does this not happen in my Hummer, ford f250 , or my 99 ws6 trans am????? Just my vette..weird
I was looking at it and it looks like the drain tube comes out of the front of the evaporator box, and is partway up the box. I would think it would be better to have the drain on the bottom of the box if you wanted complete drainage.
However, GM says that the Corvette climate control controls temperature and humidity. Maybe the idea is to have some water in the evaporator box to promote humidity. I do notice the air in the cabin does not feel as dry as other cars after running the air for a long time, and I like that.
