Default Cam install question

Hi, im planning on buying the lg motorsports g6x3 cam, and i wanted to know if i could buy the cam only or is it recomended to buy the kit which adds $1,065 to the cam price. The kit includes replacement valve springs, titanium retainers and seats... according to their page. thanks for any reply.

Buy the kit and rep the rewards of a properly engineered valve train and cam combination. The valves springs, push rods, retainers etc are critical IMO.

You do not want to put that cam in without upgrading your valve train... otherwise, bad things will happen.

The springs they are using in the kit are likely the comp 921 whcih is awesome. The patriot gold extreme is good to .660" lift and they are only 275. They have had zero issues and Scoggins sells soooo many of them I doubt there are as many Comp 921's in use. I use them all the time too and like them.

If you add up the list of parts including the pushrods which are mandatory, you wont be saving much by buying it all separate.
