Key FOBS Gone Bad
Hello,
Is it common for a key fob to go bad? My key fob is acting up bad. I changed the battery 2 times and it will not recognize the key fob. I have to climb in thru the trunk and stick the key fob in the glove compartment slot to drive the car. I cannot enter the car with the key fob. I do not have any electronic near the fob at all. Any suggestions? I am waiting on a new FOB to arrive in the mail, as I only have one.

Can't help you with your problem but did want to mention you have a cable pull in the trunk that allows you to open the doors without crawling through the car. I have an issue with passive entry on the drivers side but I can still hit the button to open. Good luck.

I have an aftermarket security fob and when it is next to the chevy fob the DIC fob not recognized...if the other fob is a hand width away the car computer has no problem....
