Knock Sensor ???s
Not sure if this is a C6 or C5 issue so I posted in both. Car is an '02 Z06. I have a LS2 with LS6 knock sensors with extended wiring harness. When I originally installed motor, I did not know to tap out hole for LS2 knock sensor until motor was install and it was too late. I just mounted them at another spot on the block. However, that spot is now in the way of my fittings for my oil cooler. Still too tight to get in there to tap out hole, so I mounted knock sensor on a bracket and mounted bracket in correct hole. Will this work or does sensor have to be threaded into block? Will it throw codes or am I OK? TIA.
