Underdrive Pulley?

Underdrive Pulley?
Was thinking about doing an underdrive pulley. Is this a major to swap out? And if so are the power gains worth the hassle of putting it in? I don't plan on doing a cam or anything like that anytime soon. I guess my question is "is the bang worth the buck?'

Back in the day I put an U.D. pulley on my Mustang. It slowed down the water pump and altenator. At idle it made the lights really dim and drop voltage and Im sure slowing down the H20 pump didnt help the motor. For the couple of HP it might gain not worth it in my opinion. That said I dont know how different the pulleys are on C6's.

You have to pull the entire front steering rack out as well as the power steering pump and all that stuff on the front of the motor. Unless your doing a cam job it is not worth it. As far as the water pump and alternator I dont notice any difference. Some people have said the a/c doesnt work as well either but mine works just fine.

Thanks guys, kind of what I thought, but always best to gather other opinions. On the F body Camaros and TA's it was a quick 5 or 10 horses, but I thought the installation might be a pain on this. Will wait till I am ready for cam.
