As mentioned before, it can be obtained with either or both the threaded and the non threaded shafts. The threaded will accept a wide variety of threaded shift *****.
If you wish to change from one to the other, there is no need to remove the console again, you can simply remove the **** and shift boot to change shafts.
He really did answer the question though. It is as simple as removing the console, the four bolts that hold the stock one, apply rtv or gasket to the new one, and reinstall. Kinda easy...
Everything is easier after you've done it once. If somebody on here is asking for specific details on a project, we should give them the information he/she needs to help them. If I was to tell my wife that "Changing a tire is easy, just losten the lug nuts, jack it up and put on the spare", that would NOT be helpful to her.
