Rear Carpet Removal

Getting ready to install sound insulation in the trunk and the only thing that has me stumped is the roof mounts on the wheel wells. How do you remove them???

The plastic cover pops off and there are two bolts for removal. Have fun.

removal

you need a clip removal tool you can buy it at auto zone for like five dollars to be able to stick it in there and unclip them if not you will end up braking something

Just a hard yank and mine came off; no special tool required.

From exoticvette.com instructions: "pull up on the rear of the targa top holder covers around the back outside edge and pull firmly UP until they make a loud POP."

I just pulled on mine to remove them. Very easy to do.

Yep just pulled mine today for the roll bar fab. No problems. I did break one of the clips on the front side molding though. Them suckers are fragile. Ill get it fixed though.
