Just replaced my older version MGW shifter which had a little buzz at WOT but really didn't bother me. That shifter was 100% better than the stock shifter and I loved it. I decided to replace it because of George's integrity, customer support and honesty. He said the new shifter was better so I knew it had to be. It is smoother, more precise, and quieter. If you don't have the MGW shifter I can assure you, you won't regret installing it. It makes the stock shifter look like a real "Mickey Mouse" shifter-no comparison. Just do it!
Sweet! Although no one has convinced me yet that the new version is enough of an improvement over my original 35% MGW that I put in 6 months ago to go through all the hassle of swapping it out. But the difference between stock and MGW is certainly amazing.

I like the idea of this new MGW shifter, but I just can't see pulling my dash one more time.
The more times you pull it, the more chance for interior squeaks and rattles of a different sort.
The other thing is people are going with the new shifter plus the C6 shift box for the Z06. That jacks up the overall outlay a bit more.
Finally, I am not hearing from everyone that this new one is completely dead quiet at the higher RPMs.
With my heavy ****, my 35% is dead quiet until approaching redline in 2nd gear, and then I get a very low, almost undetectable audible rattle. Hardly enough though to make me change it out.
