Default Is this normal?

I have a 2008 c6 auto trans. I noticed that when starting the car when its cold and I shift from parking to drive, the car moves a lot as if the transmission was shifting rough. does anyone else have the same issue with their c6? any TSB's that can help me with this?

thank you in advance for your help

Not sure I fully understand your description, but I have a 2008 and the A6 transmission shifts smoothly even when cold.

Have your dealer check it out. If it is shifting roughly, I doubt it is mechanical wear (wear in the 1st gear clutch plate, backing plate, backing plate splines or sprag). Could be valving or a sticking clutch piston/seal/spring.

How is the engine running? Sometimes a low gear shifting problem can actually be low rpm engine roughness.

Good luck.

lets see if i can explain myself better this time, because i am not very good when it comes to describe mechanical issues about cars.....

When my car is cold and i shift from Parking to Drive, the car moves a lot(it feels as if the transmission was pulling the car forward and back again)....im guessing that it is shifting roughly because the engine does not idle rough. I noticed that the movement gets worse if I shift from Drive to Neutral then to Drive again.

After the car warms up,im guessing that the transmission shifts smoothly because the car feels normal again. The car was checked yesterday by the local dealer and they said that this was normal. I dont think its normal because it did not do it before.

so it shifts hard because the engine rpm is higher when cold, thats normal
