Default How loud?

By adding Borla S to my ls2 how loud will the car get with stock manifold. My car is to quiet and i want it to be heard. Im looking for a loud deep growl where people are twisting there necks to try to see whats coming. Im hoping Borla will do this I will add headers later on.

That is the only mod I have on my 05 c6 and if turning heads is what you are looking for don't waste any time and have those babies install. I love my Borla Stingers. The sound is deep and loud. Good luck.

When I installed my Borla Stingers on my LS2 they sounded great with a slight muscle car exhaust note. However, when I installed my Kooks (1 7/8”) with no cats it TOTALLY changed the exhaust note from somewhat muscle to VERY exotic. Kind of like a Ferrari note is what it sounds like now. To be honest I really don’t like the exhaust note since the header install. Just a little FYI from my experience.

I’m kind of on the fence on trading the Stingers out for some B&B Bullets.

BTW this combination is very loud.

Borla stingers by themselves are not that loud, but they do sound very good and you will be heard when you get on the gas. I whole-heartedly believe the stingers are the best exhaust for this car.

Now I have "ebay" headers and offroad x-pipe and the sound is awesome. Honestly it's the most unexotic sound I've heard for the vette seeing as how most cars I see in person are mated up to corsa sports if they have headers Way too high pitched.

For what it's worth, to the last poster, I was next to a ferarri with an exhaust on it 2 days ago...and trust me, that ferrari did NOT sound like my car, lol. But I do know what you mean about the C6's tending to sound more exotic than muscley...it's unfortunate.

:Shrugs: Probably the firing order or the way the x-pipe plays into the sound and muffler placement.

I'm trying very hard to avoid that sound.

Stingers are your best option for that, as far as I'm concerned, and I heard a LOT of exhaust before deciding (in person).

Ya i always use borla. I had them on my mustang it had a little drone but it had that nice sound to it. I guess I will get the Borla before the headers.

You should be happy with Borla Stingers. I had them and LOVED them. Unfortunately my "passenger" did not, so now I have B & B Rt 66.. I miss my Stingers !!

I got some Borla Stiners on my car and they sounded pretty good with just the cat backs and thats it. Now add some LG heads X pipe and remove the cats, it gives it a whole new sound. Yes it is pretty loud and can drone like no other but i don't care it's what a sports car is all about!! Just turn the music up a bit and you won't even notice...........that much haha. When cruising on the freeway there is lil to no drone and the noise is kinda soothing actually.

Two weeks ago I installed the Borla Stingers/X pipe and the K/N airfilter. They are not obnoxiously loud, but they have a nice tone. When driving down the highway, I don't notice them at all, unless I step on it.

There has to be some louder pipes out there, if you want loud, but to me, the Boral sound nice, but not LOUD.

It's pretty hard to compare exhausts side by side unless the setup is identical. My setup with Extremes will rattle your teeth.
