Where are you guys finding these deals at. I've been looking through a bunch of web sites and have found that the prices ive seen at corvettes of dallas to pretty comparable. In general, an 08 is going to sell for about $39k to $45K, an 06-07 will sell for around $36 - $39k, ive seen 05's for around $28 to $35k.
For me, i'm trying to stay around the $29 to $30k mark. I dont want to make my payments too high. Also, I think i'd prefer to buy from a dealer rather than an individual, simply because from some particular dealers, they can finance long enough to make my payments comfortable. Going through my standard bank or credit union, they wont finanace for quite as long and thus shoot my payments up.
Now, if I could find a dealer to sell me an 07 C6 for around $32k, and finance for up to 84 months (give or take), i'd be more than happy to do that...
Any help appreciated

OK, Car buying 101: ASKING price does not mean they are SELLING for that! I walked away from many deals when buying mine. KNOW (repeat, KNOW!) what the car is really worth... If it doesn't meet that, walk.
Another thing: NEVER, EVER buy based on the monthly payment. Buy on sales price. You can either afford the car, or you can't. Dealers just LOVE people who negotiate based on monthly payments... It's just lining their pockets with extra money. There are LOTS of websites available to show you how to negotiate a deal - check them out!

He is right!!!
there is lots of Vettes for sale, dealers are looking for buyers.
07 or newer.
I got my 07 C6 A6 Z51 3lt for $35,000 last March!!!
spend some time looking, be patient.
I'd go for the 2005, cheaper, lighter, options on whether to keep the suspension stock or modified. You could get the z-51 parts pretty cheap here, or get better aftermarket parts than the z-51. Have you considered a used Z06?
I have an 07 and love it, but you should now consider an 08 with the LS3 motor; 6.2L with a little more torque than the 6.0L 07. And, 07's have more than the 05's. So, with the 6.2L, you are starting with a great foundation....good luck.
S37 I bought a leftover 08 just last week. Took advantage of the 0% financing and got a very good deal.
My advice is figure out what a payment would be @ 9% interest on a pre owned and paying invoice or below on a new 08 with 0% financing.
This was enough to convince me.
Ok, I think I found a good deal on an 05 vette. It has all the options, glass roof, telescoping steering wheel, am/fm/cd/mp3/xm radio with changer, heads up display and memory settings, looks like it has some upgrades too. It has Borla tips on it, so I am assuming the owner put a new exhaust system on it (either that or he just put tips on the stock exhaust..). Also looks like it has upgraded, drilled brake rotors. only thing is, it's kind of high mileage...or so I think. It has 49k miles on it.
Now, 49k is not bad, I know there are others out there that have lower mileage, but they are higher priced, and alot of them don't have all the options. my question is, do you think 49k is too high for a vette? do you think that the motor gets worn and loses power at that kind of mileage, or do you think that the motor and transmission will still be strong at 49k?
If you add it up, 49k is only about 13k miles per year, about 2k under the average of 15k a year. the car has been driven for sure, but i checked the carfax and it's clean. no accidents, no major problems. oil changes made...kinda regularly.
thanks!

p.s. i have looked at some of the 08's and 07's and if i could find a dealer that would finance 0% at 6 years, i could get into one of these, but it's hard to find any dealer to go that long at 0%...also, my credit is good, but not EXCELLENT, so that makes it harder.

You can't expect anyone to advise if you have found a fair deal if you leave out the price for the car. Mileage directly affects pricing. You've given the mileage, but not the pricing.
I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest you have someone a bit more savvy with regards to automobiles help you out before purchasing a car, let alone a Corvette. No direspect intended, but your decision will affect you for some time.
Buying on impulse is always a mistake. Make sure you do your homework before your purchase. Measure twice, cut once.
Check out Corvette Palace in Austin, Texas. Just bought a 2005 coupe, 3LT, manual trans, with 9,000 miles on it, for $32,500. Like new condition. They have the best vette's I've seen anywhere. There is a gorgeous white 05 on their showroom floor with less than 7,000 miles on it for $34,000. Same asking price for mine. 3LT package. Go for it.
