Default Question.....

I am in the research stage of purchasing my first Corvette!! I Can't tell you how excited I am! I don't plan on modifying too much, but I would like to do the following:

1) Cam
2) Headers
3) Full exhaust

I am looking for the best performance and sound without affecting driveability. Any suggestions on a combo? If possible please let me know what I should expect to spend for all of this installed. Also, how much additional hp should I expect to see if any? Finally, if I am missing a must have mod in here, please let me know.

Thanks!!

You need to have an intake added to the list. Install price depends on who you go. You should expect about 80 rwhp depending on which motor you purchase ls2 or ls3.

It is a 2009 so an ls3 motor. If I add in the intake, what will the ballpark cost be on all of this?

Depends greatly on which cam, headers, exhaust and intake you get. That's such a blanket statement to say 80rwhp without knowing any real details. That's like asking, i want to buy groceries i know i want milk, cereal and pot pies how much is it going to come to?

That said, I would venture to guess up to 470rwhp, assuming 370 is what you start with and you get another 100rwhp from all your updgrades.

Also, say goodbye to your warranty - such a shame a new 2009 and the warranty is gone that quickly. You honestly may be better off getting a used prior-year, paying less and not feeling so bad about the warranty. But then again, obviously you have more money than I do because I wouldn't be buying an 09 and throwing parts onto voiding the warranty.

$4k - $5k installed is an estimate you can use for planning purposes.
$2k for the cam package
$2k for headers and CAI
$.5k for tune

With good deals it can be done together for $4k. With top of the line valvetrain components and ported TB, it will be $5k at some of the better known shops. Install deals vary by location.
