I purchased my first vette in january, 2008 ls3 and was going to just leave it stock. but as we all know its just not possible. so I have ordered an RPM diff. with lower gears stage 3, and a stage 3 monster clutch, to start with, traction will be next. once I get the traction and strenght taken care of I will start on the motor. its hard not to put power first but I think its best to start at the back and move foreward.

I haven,t decided on just what all I am going to do to the motor yet. but I don,t want to be going cheap and then having to redo it later, I may not need the stage 3 diff. but its cheaper than finding out later that I needed it, stage 2 was cheaper and may have been enough but now I know I am not limited on my motor mods. so to me the clutch was money well spent. I have seen to many people spend all thier money on motor mods, and skimp on the drive train, only to start breaking things.
My .02 would be - hold off on doing the clutch until you figure out what you are going to do with the motor and do the clutch and motor at the same time. You won't need the clutch for gears but probably will for motor.

actually that is what I was planning just wanted to have it ready and availlable. I have had the sickness for along time just not with a car sense I was 17, 46 now. I have been biulding 4 stroke turboed snowmobiles, my last one which I just sold to switch to the vett, was yamaha nytro 3 cylinder 1049cc, 2871 garret turbo running up to 25lbs boost with a wet and dry shot of nitrous and water-meth injection, some where in the 400hp range in a 600 lb chassis. so you can see where this is likely to end up.
