It looks too much like a Viper hood for my taste, wouldn't want to give people the "wrong" impression - but hey it's about what you like. It doesn't look bad, it actually looks pretty sweet, I'm just pointing out an obvious similarity.
I had a CF ViS hood for my RX-8, it was nice but without hood pins I was always careful when going "fast" because of CF hoods being lightweight and 1) not holding up well in an accident and 2) flying off because of the pressure underneath that grabs them up and rips them off (didn't have hood pins installed). So if you go CF, I'd say get hood pins. Some people will say you don't need them - I didn't on my RX-8 and never had an issue - but it's just one of those things to be aware of. For this particular hood, the fiberglass hood is 24.25lb and the CF hood is almost 20lb, so it's about a 4lb difference. Honestly, if you're just going to paint the CF hood anyway, you may as well go with the fiberglass.
I have installed mine and having it painted. The comment I would make is their is a bigger gap along the sides than what one would expect. I filled mine in with some very nice weather stripping from McMaster Carr or you can get it from a paint shop. I would personally get the rain gutters and remove them if you are going out to run the car "hard" - that is what I am planning. I think it is the best looking hood out there. Not obnoxious or "over the top" at all. My second choice would be the LG hood. I purchased the fiberglass - it is the exact weight as stock but will need to some (very little) body work prior to paiting. As far as hoods go - it is very good quality (from a paint shop perspective). Finally, I replaced the grids which go over the openings with high quality SS metal cloth - I will have them black powder coated before install. Hope that helps!
I had mine installed at MTI when they did my TVS 1900 install. It's Victory red to match my car, and fiberglass. It fits really well, and I don't see any more of a gap around the edges than stock. Nothing noticeable anyway. Good quality, feels lighter than stock, and from the driver's seat, not intrusive on the sight lines at all. No rain gutters on mine. I wish they would make rubber block off covers for the vents for when you wash the car, though. I love the look!

I've seen yours in your post on the TVS install, it looks awesome, this is my favorite hood by far.
