Hello all, new to the forums and new to my corvette its a 07 coupe low miles, I'm wanting to change the mufflers and have been looking at a few could someone explain the difference between say a 08 Z06 system and a 08 C6 NPP system, I know I will need other parts to complete the system but just don't understand the difference. Thanks for any advice and help.
David
The 08' Z06 system is a 3" and solid inner tips, (Not sure if all 08" Z06 tips are like this) and a C6 NPP system is 2.5" with Perforated inner tips.
To use the Z06 mufflers you could modify the pipe to be reduced to 2.5", or just upgrade the whole set up to 3".
I think your backwards on that the 08 c6 has solid inner tips not perforated. and the C6 is more expensive since there aren't many of them for sale and they bolt right up unlike the z06 ones. But with that being said they have a different sound between the two also the Z06 muffler on the inside of the muffler the larger pipe is perforated. the c6 is a solid pipe all the way thru. but that's the basics I love the NPP allthough I sold the stock mufflers for the B&B fusions with are louder and in my opinion sound way better with my hearders just right in the closed and in the open position.

My 08 with NPP, has perforated tips, and the Z06 exhaust I just purchased from an 08 has solid. Maybe some have, and some don't. I'm not sure. But that B+B fusion looks like a really set up. Is there a weight difference between the factory and those?
