Has anyone replaced one theirself? I nicked mine installing a vararam and now I need my AC again. I am thinking of doing it myself. Has anyone done a write up on it yet? LOL, Its such a common thing, it should be documented by now. I searched but did not get anything.

It probably can be repaired... Mine was... It will save you a ton of money!!! I think I ended up paying a couple hundred bucks total for teh repair.
I cut it like 5 months ago and have been driving around with that little hole in it, so I am sure the condensor has some dust, etc.. in side it. So I would rather just replace the whole thing. I should have tried patching it back when it happened, but I cannot drive a new car with a patched condensor.. LOL. I know, stupid.. but thats just how I am. So I ordered the condensor today and they said it should be here Wednesday afternoon. $190 delivered from Autozone.

Great price. I paid $300 for the condensor. Install is very easy. You remove the radiator cover (4 bolts), disconnect the upper and lower hoses from the condensor (assuming its empty now), and then pull the shroud forward slightly and slide it up and out. Just the reverse for install. You will need to have it e-vac'ed (long time) and then recharged after the install. They should also add oil when recharging it for the compressor. The whole install should take less than an hour.
PM me with any questions if you like. I was told fixing the damage was not the best way to go.
BTW, you will need to get under the car to take the bottom hose off and to reconnect it.
