Z06 ceramic brake pad squel

Do Hawk ceramic brake pads make a squeal when they get hot. My z06 brakes make no noise when the pads are cold but once they get hot every time you hit the brake pedal the make an awful squel.

I've installed them on two different Z06's. Neither one of them squealed. I did lube the back side of the pads which is one of the possible fixes for squeaking pads.

I've heard that proper "break-in" is also a key to stopping squels and improving the performance of the brakes.

I believe you are right, last year mine were squealing bad until I took it to the track and exercised the breaks. Been quite for several months now.

by Exercised you mean heated them up in good shape. I will try that.

Yes, I made several 120MPH trips down the 1/4 mile track with moderate breaking (no lockup or ABS warnings), that took care of my squealing.

I stillhave not had alot of luck with the heating of the brakes. Once the brakes get hot the squel goes away but when they cool off the make a squel again?
