HUD questions, info
Alright guys...I'm buying a HUD to put in my LT1 2008. Two questions; where can I get a decent priced harness to install it myself, and how do I make the color red instead of the greenish color it usually is in the windshield? I saw a Z06 one time that had a red projector and it was awesome. I guess I could get an overlay from somewhere or replace the lamp but I have no idea what the best method is...suggestions??

No sure on most of your questions, but I think the projection is actually a circuit Board LCD and the whole thing is only green. I have wondered this myself because it would be nice to have either the only thing turn yellow, orange, or red when you get to your shift points or just the sweeping RPM actually change as it goes up in the RPM but I dont think it is possible.

There was a thread a month or so ago about the harness. I think you can make it yourself. Try a search. I do not think you can change color but an overlay would probably work. What color would you use since the output is green so you can get red ? Give it a try a bet alot of members would like to be able to change colors.
