Changing clutch fluid on a C6

Is it recomended that I use the GM brand clutch fluid or can I just pick up a good quality DOT 4 fluid ? If so what is recomended.

You don't have to use GM's clutch food, most DOT4's will do. Check out this must read sticky:

I started out using the GM clutch fluid, but I am having a harder time buying it now because the dealer has to order a case at a time, and everyone is reducing their parts inventories.
