Change a 6 speed to an Auto?

My 08 is the first 6 speed I’ve owned since my 1965. Because of arthritis in my left knee and hip, driving it has not been as pleasurable as the others vettes I’ve owned. I really love the car except for the trans.

Has anyone changed over to an Auto trans and what is involved.

It would be easier just selling yours for an A6, IMHO

I went from A4 to M6 in an F-body. It was a lot of work. Your swap would seem to be more difficult because of adding the paddle shifters and the programming involved. I'd suggest calling Chuck at CoW and pick his brain.

If you can't find someone to trade you straight up for the hardware it could become expensive buying a new tranny. I'd suggest trading/selling your and picking up an A6 car.

I'd suggest trading your car with someone who has an automatic transmission and wishes they had a stick shift...

its really a better way to go..

just post up on the for sale section...that you want to trade M6 FOR a6 2008 c6..

Describe your options and your mileage and what you want in the automatic version you trade for...

State what colors you like and don't like and take it from there..

Thats what I would do anyway.
