My passenger side rear wheel struck a curb at about a 90 degree angle to the body. Now when making left turns the passenger side rear drops lower than the driver side making a right turn. Also when making hard left turns the passenger side back end breaks loose faster on that side. Also if accelerating in a left turn the passenger rear wheel can't put power to the ground as well as the driver side rear and the passenger side rear droops. I looked at all the suspension parts and it looks ok. The rocker panel did tear loose on the passenger side where it is glued to the bottom of the frame as a result of the wheel striking the curb. Any ideas what could be wrong? Thanks.
Sounds like you damaged the suspension to me. Sometimes it is very hard to see suspension damage with the nakid eye. Take it to a reputable alignment shop / body shop so they can inspect it. They may have to put it up on an alignment machine. I wouldn't be driving that car too much! Good Luck!
PS - the damage to your car is covered under you collision coverage on your insurance

I agree wit hthe above posters. Just imagine what could happen, even at low speed, if you need to take an evasive maneuver and brake. You could go out of control. Take it in, please before someone gets hurt.
Thanks for the concern but the issue is that the problem is very subtle. I am afraid the dealer, or anyone not familiar with the car will not notice it nor be able to diagnose it. There is nothing visible to the eye. So I was asking if someone could give me some ideas to pursue. No one is getting hurt.

Could be a upper ball joint or bent upper a arm, they are aluminum and very easy to bend. I had a ball joint failure once on a highly regarded german sports car (no name given) and it caused the entire hub to break off. Luckily it was in a parking lot but it was hard to get towed and could have been very dangerous. I wouldn't drive it any further than the nearest reputable alignment shop.

you say you struck a curb, be honest, you went over the curb! hard enuff the damage the rocker panel, which probaly means at speed! you drove the wheel up past the bottom of the rocker panel driving everthing thats attached with it! and you wonder? Gee what could be wrong? I dunno know? maybe the springs broken in half, thats probably the "droop" sounds to me like you have some major damage!!! APPARENTLY YOU DON'T DRIVE VERY WELL, SO WHY WOULD YOU LOOKING AT IT, MEAN ANYTHING! do not drive the car until you have some one "look at it" that knows what there looking at!!! IMHO

Wow, hostile response. And ridiculously inaccurate.
Actually, I was pulling out from a stop sign, so hit the curb at what, 5MPH? It hit the side of the wheel, as I said. There is a small ding on the rim. I took it to the dealer, and the service writer said it is so minor, he is doing a 4 wheel alignment and that should fix it.
IMHO you are an idiot.
I am putting you on my ignore list so I don't have to listen to any more moronic comments. You have the honor of being the only person on my ignore list.
