LS3 and LS7 Alternator, any differences?
The LS7 alternator bolted up immediately to my LS3. The pully seemed like it could be slightly bigger, but that could be in my head because I still got it on.
I can't find a part number for either on gmpartshouse.com... just a ridiculous price lol.

Apparently they are different, but I can't find a part number or a price.

According to Alldata, the price for the manual one is $522.17 (Part no.25888970) and $494.02 (Part no. 15841234) for the auto.

Happy to know it because when I saw what the list price was, I almost freaked.

$500 for an alternator, are these guys nuts.
Also, why would an manual and auto trans matter?

Now the auto number supercedes to the manual number, so you'll get the same alternator regardless of transmission even though it lists them as different part numbers.
I have the price at under $400
