I've been looking around for a new rear for my newly blown 05, and now that I'm making all that power, I think I'd better get it done fast before something catastrophic happens.
The few companies I've spoken with recommend a whole new rear, diff & tranny which comes out to about 5k+ shipped. I'd much rather just switch the diff, and have it be done with...
I was looking at doing an 04 Z06 rear swap like Spin's, but I can't find the right people to get it done. Part of the problem is logistics. I'm all the way out here in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, so you just don't run over to the next town to pick one up.
Does anyone have a built rear that will bolt onto an 05 Z51, or have a friend that can build one, and have it shipped? I can send mine back as a core, but the shipping makes it prohibitive.
