Default Cam and horsepower ???

I have a stock 05 LS2 A4. Could someone please tell me what kind of horsepower gain and cost of putting in a different cam? any recomendations on which cam? Car is a daily driver and would like to keep the drivebility and not be too radical. Thanks in advance.

You're probably looking at around $1800 including install. Depending on how aggressive you go, HP gain could probably be 40-50hp if you've already done an intake. If there's any thoughts about going F/I, don't do a cam yet. You can get a blower cam at that time if you so choose.. I've got an offer here from a vendor here for $1580 installed for a blower grind, high rpm dual valve springs, titanium retainers, hardened seats, viton valve seals, and super 7 keepers... But I'm also planning on doing a F/I install and a lot of other things at the same time.

any cam that doesn't have alot of overlap is pretty much considered a blower cam.

you'll need a small cam anyways if your not going to put a TC in.

Mild cam, 220/.580/114LSA for an example, would give you 20 to 30 additional hp. Same cam with LT headers, CAI intake, tune, and UD pulley would give you 60 to 75 over stock. Adding a cam without tune wouldn't be good. As a package, it's all good.
