Trany cooler install pics

Hope they fix your problems

I mounted it just FWD of the Zo6 oil cooler, the tranny temps dropped 20-25 degrees, 175-200 in 90 deg day. before the cooler it would be 215-225 @ 70 mph, no lock on converter yet!!
but it increased my engine oil temps by same, still oil temps are 210 cruising, 220 in heavy traffic

I took a lot of pictures but it is really hard to tell much from them.
The hoses are Gates from NAPA. This hose had the highest burst pressure and temperature specs I could find. The 3/8" hoses come off the top of the cooler, go across the underside of the shroud and out two 1/2 inch holes I drilled in the shroud's passenger side.
I cut the transmission return line rubber hose coming from the top of the radiator and spliced in the new cooler with brass air line couplers and hose clamps.
Then I drove it around a couple of miles gently. I jacked it up, level, with all four wheels off the ground, With the DIC showing about 110 F, I added more Dexron VI to cover the new cooler. I used a hand drill pump and 3/8" clear plastic hose inserted in the bottom drain hole. The drill motor pump will empty a ATF bottle in about 10 seconds. I let the excess drain out, but not completely. I will check it again in about 50 miles. It took about a quart.
I have a Z06 oil cooler and hoses on order. This cooler should fit behind the tranny cooler.
I ran a similar tranny cooler arrangement on my C5 for 5 years. It worked great. I learned not to mount the tranny cooler right up against AC condenser core. Leaves that you can not see or clean will collect in the gap between them and gradually restrict the flow.
I raced the C5 at Texas Motor Speedway oval and infield at 130 mph + on 98 degree days with no transmission overheating.
I'm hoping my C6 installation works as well.
