c6 rear diff cover broken help plz
well i have a 2005 corvette
Noticed today a little noise coming from the back of the car. turned out i saw gear oil all over the back of the car and there is a crack about 5 inch on the back of the rear diff . the cover on the back is cracked, it looks like that cover comes off. is it possible its just the cover that cracked and needs to be replaced? if so where would i look for a good deal on one?

its at the shop..
it looks like just a crack, but i dunno if the insides are good or not. iv heard from people that its possible the case just cracked or the "girtle" and may just need to be replaced..... which isnt that expensive. the car drove still after this happend, and heard no boom noises and very light rear end noise after and only at certain times
