Default newbie questions

Ok, So obviouslly I'm new to this whole world here. Here's the story, my father bought an 05, a couple of months ago. It was all stock besides the Borla that was added to it, with x pipe and such. Once he got it I purchased him a K&N cold air for it, and that is the way she sits today. My dad isn't to savvy with the internet so I have to be his interpreter. So now that is out of the way....

So I'm interested in doing an ecu upgrade, or something of that nature. I'm a VW guy and I know you can have the ecu's re flashed for HP and Torque gains. I was wondering if it is the same for the C6. If so what company's are out there, what kind of gains are there, where can i start looking basically. any insight would be awesomely appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Some great tuners are available for tuning the car. The stock computer gets programmed and there is no chip added or re-moved. The OBDII port is used for PCM access.

Local tuners near you for this are ECS in Cream Ridge and Cartek in Garwood NJ. Both are top shelf and experienced with other mods that you may be interested in.

I wouldn't set my HP expectations real high with the mods on the C6. The K&N is advertised to get you about 10RWHP, the cat back may pick up a little, but, the tune is what rounds it all out. I would believe that you may get about 345 to 250 RWHP with the tune working everything together. What you will notice, it the tuner works it for you, is an increase in highway mileage. Good luck!

It's an auto.

What other mods would be a good idea before a tune?
