Default Intake coupler

I have a callaway honker, As most of you know it still utilizes the stock accordian coupler to the throttle body (I think that is what its called). To me it seems restrictive although callaway claims there is no airflow loss with it. Is there anyone who knows where to get a smooth bore coupler for the LS3? I'd feel more comfortable replacing the accordian couple which seems restrictive.

I would also be interested in a smooth bore coupler for my Honker if available.

I bought one from West Coast Corvette for $59.95. Mid America also carry one similar. Google "Corvette high flow power coupler".

You have to trim a bit of it. Wrap a can with a towel and place it within the coupler, then use the supplied hose clamp as a guide. A box cutter with fresh, sharp blade will do the trick.

I bought my HURRICANE intake from WEST COAST, I asked them about the coupler, they told me to save my money. There is no difference only cosmetic. But I would like cosmetic for mine, they only had orange. That wont work on mine

I purchased my coupler to compliment my Honker from West Coast Corvettes for about 40 bucks. The horsepower gain may be debatable but it certainly made the engine compartment more aesthetically pleasing.

I know it wont achieve massive dyno results from it, nor SOTP gains but... I just feel the accordian stock coupler is a bit more restrictive than a smooth bore type. And the smooth bore would look generally better than the accordian piece. So the swap is two-fold.

Thanks to all for the help, I will visit the posted sites for this.

Default Thinking the same thing, but...

I have a FAST intake w/ the spacer so I don't need the length I need the girth (Lol, where has anyone heard that before) but my avatar says it all. Anywho, what diameter reduced to what from that sight. I bought one, forgive me on the #s but I think it was 3.5" to 4 or 5", What ever it was it was exact size (female inside diam= male outside diam. exact same as TB on one end & to VR on other) & mat'l was too hard to stretch so it wouldn't work. I'm too lazy take it all apart just to measure put it back together wait for the coupling & do it all over again especially since I just went through drill chasing vaccum leak. In short what size did you use?

Measure the outside diameter of the honker and the TB.. Since the TB is 90 MM inside diameter your going to need a 4" for that end. Now figure what the outlet of the honker is. My K&N is 96mm so I got a 4" straight coupler X 3" long

Well looks like I was misinformed, should have measured for myself. 4" X 4" X 3.75" doesn't fit the LS3 Honker. It's more like 4" X 4" X 4.25", and I can't find anyone who makes one this size...

If these are the honker dimensions and you cant find anything to fit then I guess I should just leave the accordian coupler on.
