i don't know if that was a coincidence are not
anywas when i started the car it said service fuel system, i cleared it and the gauge is all the way on e,
just to be safe i went to the pump, only took 4 gallons
restarted still on e, still service fuel system, clear, then it says low fuel
any idea whats going on?
i do have a bap too, but i don't think that would have anything to do with the gauge level
I got the same message, week of 5-4, and i wasnt out of gas. It went away after an hour or so. while at a local vet show I mentioned it to a guy and he said check your gas cap. Yes I thought he was pulling my leg, but did remember his comment. Well the message came back today, and I did check the gas cap and it's spinning like a top. So I guess I'll replace it. Sure sounds suspect to me, but what the heck.
I stopped by one of my clients, who's in the automotive business, he had a "thing" that could check out "the computer" and found that I had a bad fuel level sensor in the gas tank. I'll check with the dealer tomorrow?? I did read on this web site during the past few days when this problem came up and the poster said he had the same problem and the sensor was bad, and that it required taking the tank out and damn near dismanteling the whole car to fix it. Hopefully i can find the post and do some more research.
