I just put 2 new Michelin PS/2 on the front of my 07 C6 at 28,000. I was SHOCKED at the inside of the tires. It was down to the cord on the inside, and the outside still looks good. A friend from the tire tore said it's common for C6. The camber is set to 'run in' for normal driving, and then on curves the tires are flat. Common deal. I heard you can get an alignment guy (who knows corvettes) to align your front end 'out of specs' that will compensate for this some. I expect others are familiar with this. Somebody give me some input on how to have my front end aligned so I get a little better life from front tires.

Thanks ! ! ! !
Common problem. I had the dealer align mine using these specs (pure street):
Pure street? Goodness! -0.8 is even more camber than the "stock" -0.45 settings. Camber and improper toe are the reasons you wear off the inside 1/6 of the tire tread and leave the rest looking fairly good. If it's bad toe, then you get a wavy pattern on the wear section. If it's bad camber, you simply wear off a flat hunk of tread. Bad toe and camber, you get a combination of the two wear signatures.
I consider pure street (I know, who am I to argue with pfadtracing) a flatter setting for the camber and little or no toe. Right now my car is set to:
Front
Camber -0.1 L/R
Caster 7.5 8.3 L/R
Toe 0.0 0.0 L/R
Rear
Camber 0.1 L/R
Toe 0.0 0.0 L/R
In my very humble opinion, those settings are the better numbers for a pure street and highway alignment.
no issues running the camber more toward zero if you dont care about the lose of a little handling. One big issue with the toe to consider is to dont run anything negative (for street) the toe being set to slight toe in isnt going to wear your tires. As you take off the tires tend to "toe out" and spread apart so to speak. just a common thing with all cars and the worse the front end gets wear or any movement. You inside tire wear is one of 2 things . Camber to negative or driving habits. plain and simple, if you dont corner like a bat out of hell and wont miss the added cornering fro mthe camber being negative then feel free to run it around .1 negative. good luck paul
EXACTLY!!! So many people on here think that the inside scuffing they are seeing is camber induced, it's not....it's mainly TOE induced coupled with (-) camber (like eboggs mentioned). If you are going to run (-) camber, you should make sure your toe is 0.
Here's what I am running....pure street also. I also have been running -1 camber and 0 toe on the front of my Firehawk for 10's of thousands of mile without any abnormal wearing.
Before I had my Vette aligned I was not impressed with the handling at all. The car was very unsure of itself in corners and would tend you understeer quite a bit. After I had it aligned to the specs below it handles like it should have from the factory.

if you got 28,000 you got better milage then most, your doing fine! if you have it alined you will probably find that it is within specs, a good shop will get the specs off the net from their source
What are the factory specs for alignment on a 2007
I have a 2007 F55 with Z51 bars and factory tires and wheels. Going to Mid Ohio for a track day. The tires have EMT's with 9,000 miles. Going to use them one day and then replace. Driving to and from track 150 miles each way. So what is the stock factory alignment and any suggestion on a track day alignment? Have seen the setting from PFADT..am thinking about using their AGGRESSIVE Dual street track.
I will start with cold tires at 27 front and 28 rear.
