Default c3 guy with a c6

hello everyone. ive been a c3 guy for years and just purchased an 07' convert. i got it used with 5k on the ODO.
my question is, isnt the trunk supposed to come ALL THE WAY up by itself once the button is pushed? mine does not and also sticks 70% of the time and i have to try again.
also, whats this the dealer is telling me about a bulletin that my brakes are gonna squeak? and they do!

Welcome and congrats.

The rear hatch should pop just enough to get your fingers under to lift up. Scratch that... just re-read you have a 'vert. Sorry, was speaking to the coupes.

Brakes on the Z-51 cars are notorious for squeaks. Yes, unfortunately this is normal... but a change of pads will remedy.

I have an 07 vert as well, and Ive had the same problem numerous times. Ive had to press the fob button a couple times or the button above the license plate until it opens. Sometimes I have to push on the trunk to get it to open.

me too with an 05 vert.
Just one of those things when you are buying a performance car that can run with the big boys speed, performance and looks wise, but are paying a fraction of the cost of say a Ferrari. JMHO.

06 C6 vert same here pops enough just to get a finger under it and lift. Trunk seems to have an odd fulcrum point once you get it open 2" or so it will lift on its own.

i see soccer moms popping open thier doors and hatches and they all pop open by themselves and open all the way. i figured an 07' vette would be capable of doing the same thing. guess not??

My 07 vert's trunk opens without an issue, maybe I got the only one that works.

I also had a C3 and now a '07 coupe. Nice change isn't it?

i still park the new one on the weekends and drive the old one. the old one is way faster in a straight line but the new one would just keep going after the 1/4 was over or around any turn.
