I have an 08 a6,i had the car dyno tuned ayear ago.this past month i noticed when i am stopped at a traffic light with or without the air on the idle one the car is not as smooth as it used to be.i brought the car back to the tuner ,he checked for vacuum leaks cleaned the vararam, and checked the wires and plugs to make sure nothing was loose.he checked all the settings for fuel and air, everything was in range of where it was suppose to be.i would like to know if anyone on the forum has experienced this problem, and what i can do to alleviate it.thanks in advance.
There is a base minimum airflow table. I found on the stock C6 by doing any modifications it actually gets thrown off slightly. Most tuners won't even touch that for non-cammed cars... usually no reason to. But I noticed that sometimes the engine rpms would creep up on my LS3 coming to a light and drop once stopped. It isn't anything huge, but this table actually does need a little tuning for anything with mods. I had 1-7/8 inch headers.
Just bought a leftover 2008 and sold my 2006 and the idle of the LS3 is a bit rough. Look at the RPM's are they moving up and down or stable when parked. Anybody else notice this difference????
Is there a screen before the MAF on the stock intake?? If so, did you re-install it when you switched intakes? Also, i remember on mustangs when you changed intakes, if you didnt orient the MAF the same way it came off, it could mess with the idle. They were usually like straight up or down. I don't know anything about LS3's though. Thats just what could mess w/ idle on a little old 281.
