Need advice in a switch? Please
I race my car (drag) and between rounds I have to cool the engine...
I just bought a Yellow Top Optima battery, and a switch (its in many Corvette adds.. it hooks up to the fan & the switch mounts where you want it in your car..
Its a 3 way switch Off, Lo, & Hi.. The hook up to the fan under the hood was easy just plug it in & run the wire into the car.. this has been done... as of now I did not drill any hole to install the 3 way switch because I would like to add some kind of LED light or a small RED light that will go on whenever the switch is in the ON position,, weather its on Lo or HIGH.. I need the light so I don't forget the fan running ..
I usually do not stay with the car while its in the staging lanes, but do walk around ... But I need the light to remind me the fan is ON..
Sorry for the long rant, I guess the wife IS right.. I'm getting senile..
I went to a Audio shop (Radio etc) & he said he would do it for $200
sounds kinda high just to wire a light to a switch... but I have no idea how to do it... any suggestions ?

$200 is way high unless he is talking about installing the harness, running the wire through the fire wall and mounting the switch with LED's added for Low/High. Basically making the whole thing operational and cosmetically acceptable could take an hour and a half +, start to finish, so..........
