Installing ARH headers and B&B bullets sometime during the 3-day weekend.
Anyone got any tips on installing these? I know the rear swaybar has to be moved out the way for the mufflers, but do I need to remove it completely? Does anything have to be remove to install the headers, besides the old manifolds and cats?
it's an easy job the headers fit very easy but if you have a z51 watch the clearance on the passanger tube and the line for the tranny cooler it will rub a hole in it if you don't adjust it alittle well atleast it did with the kooks lol. pita to fix.
I installed my LG headers, cats, x-pipe and O2 extenders in 4 hours flat, solo. I do have the luxury of a lift. The mufflers, Corsa Sports, took less that 2 hours. Anyone with a lift, and a buddy should finish in 4 hours for the extire swap. Get a tune. Good luck, and keep those fingernails clean.

No Z51. It's a 06 A6.

I won't be doing this solo, but will be doing it on my back.

Oh by the way, you don't need to buy any O2 extensions for $100 either. Unwrap the black tape from around the stock ones as there is about a foot rolled up in them. Just retape after install.

Good info, wish I had known that when I installed mine. When it was in the shop for additional work, the guys did just this, and handed me back my extensions.

The extensions already came with the headers. Good tip though!

I wish I knew someone with a lift, it would make every job easier.
Now I don't know if they're going to get done this weekend. But I do have a question, do you guys remove the cats and manifolds as one piece or should I unbolt the cats from the manifold?
