Default Brake pad silicone

I am going to give the HP Plus pads another try, when I had them in last the amount of squeal was too much to put up with, my question is this,
should I put the grease on the back of the pads and allow it to dry fully, somewhat, or install the pads while the silicone is still wet? Last time I applied it and installed the pads while still wet, what is the correct way to use the silicone grease?

just put it on the backs and install them. My first set didn't come with grease and were very noisy. The 2nd set came with grease so I used it just because, and they were very quiet on the street (Z06 calipers, but shouldn't matter)

Thanks for the help, Should I put it on the back of the piston side pad only or back of both pads?

It won't hurt to put it on both sides as it just helps to dampen vibration, which is what sound is.
