Not necessary but you may get a little more power from having your LTFT's dialed in and your WOT enrichment adjusted as well. The the pcm will compensate a/f ratios at cruise and part throttle , but wot a/f ratios are not adjusted by the pcm in real time, they are pre programed for the stock set up. You won't hurt anything, just may not get full benefit of the greater air delivery and the colder/ denser air. If you don't want to go the full tune route, a predator programmer can make the adjustments you may need.
