Ever since I bought my car in 11/08 I would hear this rattling sound that would somewhat go away after the engine was warmed up. Under acceleration (mild) you could hear it even more.
I looked high and low and for the life of me I didnt know where the fark it was coming from. I took my car to the shop and they looked around, tapped on the exhaust/headers with a rubber mallet and found a header bolt that had fallen between the primaries at the collector. I guess whomever installed these headers dropped the bolt, never found where it went and left it there. Well its FINALLY quiet.. no more coasting in Neutral in the morning while leaving my neighborhood. LOL
you went through all that work to solve the problem...i could have loaned you my X....she never shuts up...i can assure you that she would drown out any rattle you car would make..
