Active Handling
After 24000 miles my 2005 A4 Z51 had a warning come up on my DIC. It read Active Handling recalibrating, then after awhile it read Active Handling on. I have never seen this before. Does anybody know why this should come up and should I be concerned? Any help would be appreciated.

Its a loose connector. There was a service bulletin on these Im surprised you havent heard about it. I think there is a DIY fix for it here on the forum. It was basically caused by a bad ground from a wire that didnt have enough slack in it.

I have had my active handling system recalibrate a couple of times in the past year with my 2005 Z51. It mainly seemed to occur on really cold mornings up here in NC and from what I have read (in the owners manual and other posts), it is normal to have happen occasionally. As long as it doesn't happen all the time or refuse to return to normal (Active Handling On), I wouldn't worry about it.
