You can no longer buy the actual Homelink visors new. GM stopped using them in October of 2006. You can get the LEAR visor which is similar but not exactly the same. Email Gene Culley he has the LEAR visors new. You can find actual Homelink visors on eBay. I got mine there for 80 bucks I believe.

In new 3LT cars you get the LEAR visor. Many here have had issues with programming the LEAR to learn certain devices. That is why when I wanted an RF visor I got mine on eBay and made sure I got an actual Homelink visor. It is easy to tell a LEAR visor from a Homelink. The Homelink visor only has one light. The LEAR has 3 light.

Thanks for the referral. Here is what it says in the specials list.

||--Sunshade W/Garage Door Opener--||

25811357 – 05-09 LH Sunshade W/Garage Door Opener – 238.67

Note: GM has stopped selling the actual Home Link visor.
This is the “Lear Car2U” version. No Home Links are available at this time.

I was also asked about the Lear capabilities, etc. I referred the customer to the forum or the owner's manual for that. You can download a free copy of your owner's manual by going to www.gmpartshouse.com and hovering over the downloads link.

I bought a used Homelink module off of Ebay. I had to paint the module cover black (it was tan). I found a "how-to" on this website and installed it into my existing sun visor. It wasn't real hard if you know how to solder. The hardest part was finding someone to stitch the visor (found an upholstery shop that did it for $20).

Lear is junk, but GM saved $10 a car, then they wonder why they went broke.
